FACULTY OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCES DONATES ₦500,000 TO COOU, REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO INSTITUTIONAL GROWTH

In a demonstration of commitment to institutional development, the Faculty of Management Sciences, led by the Dean, Prof. Nwangene, paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha, FNIPR, following the successful conclusion of their Faculty Conference held on April 16, 2026.

The visit provided an opportunity for the Dean and his team to brief the Vice-Chancellor on the outcomes of the conference, sharing insights, milestones, and forward-looking strategies discussed during the academic gathering. The interaction further reinforced the culture of collaboration and shared vision within the University community.

In a remarkable highlight of the visit, the Dean presented a cheque of ₦500,000 to the Vice-Chancellor as a donation to the University. He emphasized that the gesture reflects the Faculty’s unwavering commitment to supporting the growth and advancement of the institution. This act aligns strongly with the Vice-Chancellor’s administration anchored on the 3Vs—Values, Viability, and Visibility.

The Vice-Chancellor, while receiving the donation, commended the Faculty of Management Sciences for their consistency in excellence and their proactive contribution to the University’s progress. It would be recalled that the Faculty emerged as the Best Faculty of the Year in the previous academic session, a feat that continues to set them apart.

Also present during the visit were the University Bursar, Dr. Nath Udezo, Prof. Nkechi Offor, and other Faculty Officers of the Faculty of Management Sciences.
