COOU VC Strengthens Inter-University Synergy, Invites UNIZIK to 16th Convocation

The Vice-Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha, on April 14, 2026, paid a strategic courtesy visit to her counterpart at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Prof. Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, in a move that reinforces inter-university collaboration and shared institutional growth.

The visit aligns with COOU’s guiding philosophy of Value, Viability, and Visibility (3Vs), as championed by Prof. Omenugha, positioning the University as a forward-looking institution committed to building strong academic partnerships and expanding its national relevance.

During the engagement, Prof. Omenugha expressed appreciation for the warm reception and extended goodwill for a successful tenure to the UNIZIK Vice-Chancellor. She also formally invited him to COOU’s 16th Convocation Ceremony, scheduled to hold from April 21 to 25, 2026, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in advancing excellence within the university system.

In his response, Prof. Anyaehie thanked his visitor for the thoughtful visit and invitation, assuring of his goodwill and solidarity. The COOU delegation included the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration & Environmental Sustainability, Prof. A. C. Nweke; Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Development & Uli Campus Affairs, Prof. Sylvia Okonkwo; and the Public Relations Officer, Dr. Harrison Madubueze, reflecting the University’s strong leadership commitment to its vision-driven agenda.
