COOU STAFF Emennaa Obiora Tochukwu Conferred with Prestigious CIPAG USA Fellowship

A staff member of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Emennaa Obiora Tochukwu, FCAI, has received another international professional recognition following his conferment with the prestigious Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Public Administration and Governance (CIPAG), USA.

The distinguished honour was conferred on August 22, 2026, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, during the Institute’s 19th Induction and Investiture Ceremony. The Fellowship was awarded in recognition of Emennaa’s distinguished professional contribution to educational administration, as well as his demonstrated competence in administrative functions, strategic leadership and outstanding performance as an administrator.

In addition to the Fellowship, Emennaa was presented with the Certificate of Professional Practice Proficiency (CPPP) as a Certified Public Administrator (CPA) – Executive Level. The investiture consequently elevates him to the status of a Senior Member of the Institute, with the entitlement to use the prestigious post-nominal designation FCIPAG USA — Fellow, Chartered Institute of Public Administration and Governance, USA.

The recognition represents another significant milestone in Emennaa’s professional journey and further highlights the calibre of expertise within COOU’s workforce. As a staff member of the University, the honour also resonates with the institution’s growing emphasis on professional excellence, institutional visibility and global recognition under the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha, FNIPR. It reinforces the University’s aspiration to project the competence and achievements of its staff beyond the local environment and onto the international stage.

The Fellowship therefore goes beyond the conferment of a professional title; it places on the new Fellow a greater responsibility to uphold integrity, promote effective administration and contribute meaningfully to institutional development.
